- Try accessing via the Plex app instead of the web browser.
- Wait a few minutes and try again — the server may be mid-restart during a maintenance window.

- Avoid VPN throttling – VPNs can slow remote streaming.
Why won't my media play?
- Use direct streaming.
- Try playing a different title to rule out a file-specific issue.
- Clear browser cache and cookies.
- Try a different browser or device.
- Try the Plex app instead of the web player.
- If on a smart TV or streaming device, try force-closing and reopening the Plex app.

- Check bandwidth limits on mobile apps.
Why is my stream buffering or stuttering?
- Lower the stream quality in Plex settings to reduce bandwidth usage.
- Switch to direct play instead of transcoding where possible.
- Adjust player buffering settings for smoother playback.
- If using subtitles, use SRT files. PGS or VOBSUB formats force transcoding and can cause stuttering.
- Use a wired ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi if available.
- Close other apps or devices that may be consuming bandwidth.
- Avoid peak hours when server load may be higher.
- On mobile, check that background data limits aren't throttling the stream.
How do I request a movie or TV show?
- Use the Request Movies & Shows button at the top of any page to submit a request.
- You just need a Plex account to use the request feature.
- Most requests are fulfilled within a few days depending on availability.
- If your request has been waiting a while, feel free to follow up on Discord.
Why can't I find a specific title?
- Use Plex's search to look for the title directly. Some content may be filed under alternate names.
- The title may not have been added yet. Use the Request Movies & Shows button at the top of the page to submit a request.
- Some titles may have been removed due to storage constraints. Check the Content Removal Schedule on the Home page.
How do I get subtitles working?
- In the Plex player, click the speech bubble icon to select a subtitle track.
- SRT subtitles work best and won't affect playback performance.
- Avoid PGS or VOBSUB subtitle formats. These force the server to transcode the stream, which can cause buffering.
- If no subtitles are available for a title, you can request them via Discord.
Why is the video quality lower than expected?
- Check your Plex quality settings. Go to Settings, then Quality, and set remote stream quality to Maximum or Original.
- If the server is transcoding instead of direct playing, quality may be reduced. Try enabling direct play in settings.
- Your internet connection speed may be limiting the stream. Try a wired connection.
- During peak hours, the server may throttle quality slightly to support multiple streams.
- Some older titles in the library may only be available in lower resolutions.
